While not exactly carnivorous nor a plant, this was too cool not to share. Omphalotus nidiformis is a species of bioluminescent fungus widespread in southern Australia. The species colonises dead and dying stumps of a wide variety of trees. It is not uncommon and can be found in a range of habitats including wet and dry forests, heathland and suburban parks. The fungus emits a faint glow which is coloured green under the sensitivity of a camera.
