Drosera humilis is a fan leaved tuberous species endemic to the sandplains between Perth and Ajana. The species breaks dormancy in late winter with an inflorescence of white blooms. These flowers usually emerge from the soil before the foliage does. The species forms a sprawling habit, with a few semi-erect stems that emerge from a central rosette of leaves. The stems in this species are particularly thin.

The species can be distinguished from other members of the Stolonifera complex by its thin stems and semi-prostrate sprawling stems. At its northern range, it overlaps with Drosera prostrata and can be identified with its long thin petioles (short and thick in Drosera prostrata).
