Drosera burmannii is mostly distributed in tropical Asia and Australia. In these environments, it responds to strong wet-dry seasonalities. The species is a strict annual in nature, and typically expends all its energy into flower and seed production upon maturity. At its southern limit in Sydney, the D. burmannii is found in the Cumberland Plain, and grows within clayey substrates in open environments near lakes and nature strips. It only grows during wet seasons, otherwise persisting as seed during drought. I photographed the plants with the Laowa 15 mm f/4. Reversed, the lens makes an acceptable super macro.
